Kanamean Nishitomiya Notice Regarding the Renovation of the Second-Floor Hallway and Gallery

We are pleased to announce that Kanamean Nishitomiya has been listed in the 2026 Michelin Guide with 2 Michelin Keys.

On September 18, 2026, the Michelin Guide announced its new Michelin Key selections worldwide.
In the 2026 selection for Japan, 145 accommodations were selected from about 60,000 hotels and Ryokan to receive Michelin Keys,

• 7 with 3 Michelin Keys
• 23 with 2 Michelin Keys
• 115 with 1 Michelin Key

were chosen.
Of these, one property was upgraded from one key to two keys, and 19 properties received a Michelin Key rating for the first time.

Thanks to your continued support, Kanamean Nishitomiya has held a one-key rating since 2024 and is the only property to have been upgraded from one key to two keys in 2025.

The Michelin Guide’s Hotel Selection features only hotels and ryokans that meet the following five criteria:

• Architecture and interior design,
• Quality and consistency of service,
• Distinctiveness and uniqueness of the property,
• Value for money,
• Whether they offer experiences unique to the local area.

Only hotels and ryokans that meet these five criteria are listed.
